What

Offered four Fridays at 12pm at the Atlanta Grief House, beginning March 21 (skipping April 4) and concluding on April 18, this series invites you to work with the Maiden, Mother, Crone archetypes and mythologies. We will use these archetypes to reflect on our grief journeys and how they may intersect with our deeply embedded ideas of womanhood. This series in an invitation to dive into how our experiences of joy, loss, or grief may fit within a larger archetypal context. We will work together to unpack these connection points to see where we may be able to loosen, where we are ready to let go and where we need more support.


What to expect at each session:

  • We'll begin each session with grounding and welcoming.

  • Sascha will offer ideas for contemplation about the Maiden, Mother, Crone from various mythologies.

  • We will work with a writing prompt allowing us to…

    Tickets are for the full 4 week series. Standard Ticket is the base price for this gathering to compensate facilitators and overhead costs. Pay it Forward Ticket covers the base price and supports those in our community who wish to join but may not be able to meet the standard ticket price. Community Ticket is a more accessible option and allows for folks to be supported by our community.

    Finding Us

    The Atlanta Grief House Nickerson Cottage at Legacy Park Decatur 500 S. Columbia Dr, Decatur, GA 30030 Notes on finding us: GPS will take you to the center of Legacy Park. The Nickerson Cottage is a stone building with raised bed gardens on the south side of Legacy Park's campus. If you enter campus through the south entrance it will be the first cottage you come to. You can park in any of the surrounding lots. If coming in the evening you will see the string lights on our front porch. Nickerson Cottage is largely wheelchair accessible.

    The Portland Grief House 7906 N Fessenden St, Portland, OR 97203 Notes on finding us: We are the green house on the corner of N Fessenden & N Allegheny Ave. Enter through the gate at the corner.

    The Grief House works on and serves communities on land that is the unceeded territory of the Muskogee, Cherokee and Creek peoples in Georgia and the Clackamas, Stl’pulmsh, Cayuse, Umatilla, Walla Walla and Siletz peoples in Oregon.

     

    We honor them as we live, work and serve grievers on these unceeded lands.
