Shine A New Light: Candlelit Drawing to Seek Perspective with Arcadia Trueheart

Come with your tricky questions and unresolved problems about loss, relationships, identity or the experience of being human at large. Together, through the practice of drawing, we'll explore how shifts in perspectives might offer new insights.

This workshop explores and supports the practice of examining all the different ways we might see what is right in front of us - whether it’s an emotional question, a relationship tangle, or a still life arrangement.
We will gather around three objects lit by candles and draw what we see. Then we'll find a new perspective - a new angle, vantage point, drawing style, art medium, etc - and draw the same objects again, and again, and again. We'll notice what stays the same every time and what is revealed with each shift. Without forcing connections or leaning too heavily into analysis, we'll invite the physical practice of looking and reflecting what we see on paper to shine light on our deeper landscapes.
